Idea: This piece represents depression, where you feel trapped, desolated, and alone.

Synthesis: To represent the feeling of being trapped, the piece has many cages surrounding the figure as well as a lock in the center. The person in the middle cannot escape and feels stuck. Red in this piece is supposed to continue to represent this main symbol of being “trapped”, and how you feel as if you can’t escape— though the light at the top of the piece illustrates that there’s always a way out.
